How do students set up their StormTrac and email account?

How do students reset their StormTrac password?
Once signed up for multi factor authentication (MFA) for Stormtrac, students may visit any Stormtrac resource (opens in a new window). You must be logged out of all Stormtrac resources or use a private or incognito window in your browser.
From the College website homepage > Current Students > Stormtrac Login > Can’t access your account? And follow the prompts.
If they have any issues they can contact password@davidsondavie.edu and someone will assist them.
How does a student submit a ticket for technology support?
- Connect with the 24/7 Moodle Helpdesk by Chat or Phone to get help anytime.
- Students may email password@davidsondavie.edu if they cannot access their Davidson-Davie email account or for password issues.
- Students may email itsupport@davidsondavie.edu using their Davidson-Davie email account.
- Students may call 336.249.8186 x 6232.
How does a student get help with Moodle?
Go to moodle.davidsondavie.edu and choose the “Get Help” button. It will allow you to choose different options of support including resetting your Stormtrac password, using online chat, or calling the support desk.
Why does it keep asking for a code to login?
Multi factor Authentication (MFA) is a requirement of institutions receiving Federal Financial Aid as well as a cyber liability insurance requirement. More information can be found on DDCC’s page about Stormtrac (opens in a new window).
What type of computer does a student need to have?
Most courses will require a student to have access to the College’s learning management system, Moodle. While you can access Moodle on a mobile device, some activities and publisher content may not work well on a mobile device. Students should have access to a computer or laptop running a supported Microsoft Windows operating system (Windows 10 or 11). See software requirements below for more information.
What type of software does a student need?
The software needed is specific to the program in which students are enrolled. Some may require specific software that only runs on a Windows computer or laptop. At a minimum, a computer or laptop with a supported Windows operating system is recommended. Students may download Microsoft Office (opens in a new window) and log in with their Stormtrac account > select Install Apps and follow the instructions.
