Zoom will force updates if your version of Zoom gets too far behind, but to get the latest features, you can manually update your Zoom software on your computer.

Open your Zoom application

In order to use Zoom, you had to download a software package to your computer. Find your Zoom application on your computer and open it.

  • Sign in with SSOThe log in screen for the desktop application.
  • You should see a pop-up box that allows you to manage your Zoom account, join or schedule meetings, initiate meetings, and much more.
  • Locate your profile at the top right of the box and click on it to open a menu.
  • From that menu, choose "Check for updates". The Zoom desktop application with the profile picture and the option for Check for Updates highlighted.
  • Another box will appear either telling you that you are current or giving you the option to update.
  • Once you're updated, you should have access to the newest features.
