TABLE OF CONTENTS
YuJa has a feature that allows you to make comments on videos, but to access this feature, the settings of the video need to be adjusted.
Allowing Comments
To allow comments on your video, hover your mouse over the video and choose "More". A dialog box will appear.
- Choose "Comments" from the column on the left.
- Set both drop-down boxes to to "Everyone".
- Make sure "Enable" is checked.
Now viewers can comment on your videos, but at this point only you can see the comments made.
Make comments visible to others
If you want commenters to see their own and others' comments, you'll need to share the video with them.
Share with Colleagues
If you are sharing with colleagues so that they can provide feedback on your video, sharing a link won't be sufficient for them to see comments on your video. You'll need to share the video internally through YuJa by hovering over the video and clicking "Share". This opens a dialog box where you can choose who to share your video with and what level of access they will have.
- Type the email of the person you would like to share your video with into the "Share With" box.
- Choose the level of access they should have.
- Click "Share"
- Click "Save"
- Anyone with whom the video has been shared will be listed on the bottom left of the dialog box.
Anyone with whom you share a video can now find the video from their My Media page by clicking on the "Shared with Me" tab on the column on the left side of the screen.
Share with Students
To give students commenting privileges, you only need to post the video in your Moodle course after setting the drop-down boxes to "Everyone" in the settings. For more on posting videos in Moodle, see our Adding videos to Moodle tutorial.
