When using the YuJa Software Capture application for PC or Mac you have an option to annotate while recording. 

  1. Open the YuJa Software Capture application.

  2. Select “Screen” to open options. Toggle the “Show Annotation Toolbar” option to “ON”.The Yuja Software Capture application screen with the toggle switch for "show annotation toolbar" highlighted.

  3. You should now see the toolbar at the bottom of your screen.

  1. The eraser tool icon. It looks like a rubber eraser. Eraser - Remove a portion of a drawing

  2. The thin pen tool icon which looks like the point of a pen. Thin Pen - Draw a thin line

  3. The medium pen tool icon which looks like the tip of a pen slightly thicker than the thin pen. Medium Pen - Draw a thick line

  4. The highlighter tool icon which looks like the tip of a highlighter. Highlighter - Highlight words or items on the screen (The color and size cannot be changed)

  5. The shape tool icon which includes a drop-down box for the available shapes. Shapes - Use the drop-down box to choose a shape (line, rectangle, ellipse, diamond, arrow, star, right-angle triangle, or isosceles triangle). Once you’ve chosen a shape, click on the shapes and arrow icon beside the drop-down box to activate the ability to add this shape to your drawing.

  6. The icon for the tool that erases an entire stroke which looks like a pencil. Erase Stroke - Erase an entire stroke at once by clicking on it instead of just the portion touched by the mouse

  7. The select tool icon which looks like a box with perforated edges and an arrow. Select - Encircle a stroke to select it. You can then resize, move, or delete the stroke.

  8. The clear all icon which looks like a trash can. Clear All - Clear all annotations from the screen

  9. The drop down box for changing the thickness of the pen line. Thickness - Change the thickness of the pen strokes

  10. The cursor mode icon which looks like a computer mouse Cursor Mode - Switch from annotation mode to cursor mode

  11. The icon for changing the pen color to a custom color which looks like three colored circles overlapping. Custom Pen Color - Select a custom pen color from the color wheel

  12. The preset colors (black, blue, green, orange, or red) which can be selected for the pen color. Pen Colors - Choose a preset color (black, blue, green, orange, or red)
