Overview

To continue using old VidGrid videos that have been imported into your new courses, you'll need to update those videos with the new YuJa links and/or embed code. These instructions allow you to directly replace your videos in the way that you've been accustomed to in VidGrid. Please note that there are multiple ways (not all covered in this tutorial) to add YuJa videos since YuJa is fully integrated into Moodle.

Replace URL Link

  1. Login to Moodle and choose your course
  2. Open YuJa (It will open in a new tab)
  3. Go back to your Moodle course and enable Edit mode
  4. Navigate to the URL that you want to change, click on the three dots menu and choose "Edit Settings"
  5. In the External URL field, remove the link to the VidGrid video
  6. Go to your YuJa Media Library to find the video replacement (Note: VidGrid videos may be stored under the folder that shows your StormTrac user id)
  7. If using a mouse/touchpad, hover your cursor over the video and click "More" when the menu appears
  8. In the new window that pops up, click "Links" and then copy the link URL
  9. Return to Moodle and paste the link in the External URL field
  10. Click "Save and return to course"

Replace Embed Code

  1. Login to Moodle and choose your course
  2. Open YuJa (It will open in a new tab)
  3. Go back to your Moodle course and enable Edit mode
  4. Navigate to the video location (in a Page, Assignment, etc.) and "Edit Settings"
  5. In the Moodle editor, click on the HTML button (Note: if you do not see the HTML button, then click the down arrow to show the advanced editing options)
  6. Delete the embed code of the VidGrid video
  7. Go to your YuJa Media Library to find the replacement video
  8. If using a mouse/touchpad, hover your cursor over the video and click "More" when the menu appears
  9. In the new window that pops up, click "Links" and then copy the embed code
  10. Go back to your Moodle course and paste the embed code into the Moodle editor's HTML box
  11. Click the HTML button to close the HTML view
  12. Click Save and return to course
