TABLE OF CONTENTS

With a YuJa account, you can edit and caption videos that you’ve created. This tutorial will cover the basics. For more editing features, see our other tutorial: Editing with YuJa (Basic).

Advanced Editing Features

  • Go to your YuJa account and locate the video you want to edit.

  • Hover your mouse over the video and click on “Edit” in the menu that appears.

  • The editing screen will open in a new window.

  1. Advanced Mode - Access the advanced features by setting the toggle switch for “Advanced Mode” to yes.

  2. Add a Video - Merge another video with the one you are currently working on.

  3. Image Tools - This tool allows you to visually manipulate the video in a couple of useful ways.

    1. Blur or blackout a region of the video

    2. Add a virtual background

  4. Adjust Volume - Individually adjust the volume of a section of your video.

Add a Video

  1. Drag the blue progress bar to the point at which you want to insert a video.

  2. Select the Insert Video icon which looks like a film strip.

  1. From the box that opens, choose the video you want to add or choose “Upload Media” from the top of the box to upload a new video. You can type the name of the video into the search box to find it quickly.

  1. After selecting a video to insert, you have 4 choices for how the video will be inserted. Choose the desired option from the drop-down menu and choose which video stream should be affected if you have multiple video streams. Note: if you have multiple streams, only the first two options will be available.

  1. Current Time - Override: Insert the new video at the current time and override the existing video. If you use this option, the selected segment of the original video will be overwritten by the new one. This is a good option if you are updating an old video.

  2. Current Time - Insert: Insert the new video at the current time and append it to the existing video. If you use this option, the original video will stop and the new video will play followed by the rest of the original video. This is a good option if you want to insert a clip that you refer to later in the video.

  3. At Beginning: Insert the new video at the beginning and append it to the existing video. The original video will play after the new video.

  4. At End: Insert the new video at the end and append it to the existing video. The new video will play after the original video.

Telestrations
