Using Mobile/Tablet Devices to Access Moodle (Open-LMS)
If you do not have access to a laptop or desktop computer (laptops can be borrowed from the Library), you may be attempting to complete your coursework from a mobile device. While mobile devices are typically more affordable options, they may not display webpages correctly and typically the devices cannot be used to download specific software you may need for your classes. If you are using a mobile device, please check with your instructor early in the semester to make sure your device can access all the resources needed for the course. For some classes you may need access to a laptop or desktop computer and a mobile devices will not be an option.
If you will be using a mobile device (phone, tablet, Chromebook, iPad etc.), you should download the Open LMS app. This app is not perfect, but it is designed specifically for viewing Moodle courses on your mobile device. For assignments that have a large impact on your grade (like exams), we still recommend that you gain temporary access to a PC/desktop with strong internet connection. The Library or Learning Commons is a great location to access computers if needed.
