- Then Select the orange Current Students tab and then Moodle
- You can bookmark/save our Moodle URL, https://moodle.davidsondavie.edu/ for easy access to your course work.
Quick Tip
The Current Students tab on the Davidson-Davie website is a great way to get links to many great resources like Gmail, StormTrac, Starfish, and more!
Navigating in Moodle
Explore the Home page, where you will find news, some important links, and announcements from IT and Davidson-Davie services. Contact Moodle 24/7 Support from the phone number or chat on the Moodle homepage.
Click Login in the top right corner of the screen. If you have not set-up/activated your Stormtrac account, you will need to do that first.
At the top of the screen you can click My courses or visit the Dashboard. The Dashboard page lists gives you access to your calendar and some upcoming course events. Your My Courses page contains a list of all your available courses.
What if I can't log into Moodle?
Visit https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/ to reset your password or find your username. Email password@davidsondavie.edu with a person email if you get stuck.
Navigating in a Moodle Course
- In every course, be sure to explore the Announcements, Syllabus, and Grades area in every course. Normally, the first assignment that will be due in online courses is called the Course Entry Quiz/Assignment or Course Census. Complete this as soon as possible! Not completing this entry assignment in time could result in being dropped from the course due to inactivity.
- Visit the Student Introduction to Moodle course to practice submitting discussion Forums, Assignments, and Quizzes types. Finish the training to earn your Moodle badge!
- Some other activities you may see in your Moodle course include Assignments on other websites linked to Moodle, readings, videos to watch, or Zoom class meetings to attend. Every class will be a little different so keep an eye on due dates directly on each item and reference the Course Schedule to stay on track.
- Navigate your course(s) with ease by clicking the rounded tab on the left side of the page to access the course index. In this menu, activities that need to be completed may have an empty bubble icon beside them. Click each item to see it on the course page. If the item you clicked had a bubble icon beside it, you can see details about what you need To Do on the course page.
