Finding Moodle

  1. Visit the Davidson-Davie Community College website
  2. Then Select the orange Current Students tab and then Moodle
  3. You can bookmark/save our Moodle URL, https://moodle.davidsondavie.edu/ for easy access to your course work.

Quick Tip
The Current Students tab on the Davidson-Davie website is a great way to get links to many great resources like Gmail, StormTrac, Starfish, and more!

  1. Explore the Home page, where you will find news, some important links, and announcement from IT and Davidson-Davie services.
  2. Open the block drawer (small tab/menu on the right side) to enter your StromTrac login details in the Login box or click Login in the top right corner of the screen. If you have not set-up/activated your Stormtrac account, you will need to do that first.
  3. At the top of the screen you can click My courses or visit the Dashboard. The Dashboard page lists gives you access to your calendar and your upcoming events. Your My Courses page contains a list of all your available courses.

What if I can't log into Moodle?
Visit reset.davidsondavie.edu to reset your password or find your username.

  1. In every course, be sure to explore the Announcements, Syllabus, and Grades area in every course. Normally, the first assignment that will be due in online courses is called the Course Entry Quiz/Assignment, be sure to complete this as soon as possible! Not completing this entry assignment in time could result in being dropped from the course due to inactivity.
  2. Visit the Student Introduction to Moodle course to practice submitting a discussion Forums and other assignment types. If you need to be added to the Student Introduction to Moodle course please email moodle@davidsondavie.edu
  3. Other activities you may need to complete may include Assignments, Quizzes, reading, watching videos, attending Zoom class meetings and more! Every class will be a little different.
  4. Navigate your course(s) with ease by using the breadcrumb trail at the top of your screen to return to back to your main Course page or use the Course Index menu on the left side of your screen! The breadcrumb trail looks like a series of links  and slashes, see image 1 below for example.
