TABLE OF CONTENTS

There are a number of ways to add videos to your Moodle course. You can simply add a URL for students to click on or you can embed your videos into the course so that students need not leave Moodle to watch the video. This article will help you find the method for embedding that fits your needs.

YuJa videos

If you're using YuJa to create and store videos, you can easily access your YuJa videos from inside of Moodle depending on where you want to add the video.

Using the Moodle Text Editor

If you are adding the video into a text box in Moodle, you can embed a video directly from YuJa using the YuJa icon button in the text editor or use an HTML embed code using the HTML editor button.

YuJa Media Chooser

When you click on the YuJa icon in the Moodle Text Editor, it will bring up your list of videos from YuJa. From there, you can

  • select a video or playlist to embed.

  • record a video to be embedded into the text box.

  • embed multiple videos as a playlist.

Embed a video

To get an embed code, go to your YuJa account, hover over the video, and click on "More". This brings up a new window.

The pop-up box that appears when you choose "More". The links tab and the duplicate number are marked with numbers that correlate with their description in the text.

In this window,

  1. choose "Links" from the menu on the left side

  2. copy the embed code by clicking the "duplicate" icon

Once you have the embed code, return to your Moodle course and use the HTML icon (</>)  in the text box to change your text to HTML code and then paste the code. Click the HTML icon again to return to normal text.
